]]> We have many patients who come to our NE Calgary dental clinic everyday and we hate to see it, but a few of them (many of them children), have a fear of the dentist. There are many opinions on what causes a dental fear, but we recently found an article that mentioned how clinicians are using videos on Youtube to further diagnose the root of the problem:

“By analyzing 182 videos with people expressing their views and experiences on the condition, they found that fear of the dentists not only has different manifestations and impacts but is also caused by yet underestimated factors like … the influence of parents and peers who shared unpleasant dental experiences with their children or used their fear of a dental visit for making them more compliant.”
